McMillan opens up about recruitment
Seattle O'Dea star Jamelle McMillan is the No. 12 point guard prospect in the 2007 class and many consider him to be the top player at the position in the west. Earlier this year, McMillan very close to committing to play for Herb Sendek at North Carolina State, but Sendek's move to Arizona State shook up the recruitment.
McMillan has long-standing ties to the NC State community because his father, Portland Trailblazer coach Nate McMillan played his college basketball at the school and the McMillan family spent a lot of vacation time in the surrounding area which he was growing up.
"I was within days of committing to coach Sendek before he left NC State because his style of play was almost identical to what we do at my high school and it was just such a perfect fit, especially considering how familiar I already was with the school," McMillan said.
