Valparaiso High School star and national top-100 recruit Robbie Hummel announced July 17 that he will attend Purdue to continue his basketball career.

The 6-foot-7, 200-pound Hummel said he chose to join Matt Painter's Boilermaker program over Kelvin Sampson's Indiana program because of a gut feeling.

Painter and his coaching staff recruited Hummel since June of his sophomore year.
