VALPARAISO - If there was any suspense surrounding where Robbie Hummel would play college ball, it quickly vanished as the 75 or so media, family and friends filed into one of Valparaiso High School's cafeterias this afternoon.

When looking around the room there was no one wearing IU shirts, while several youngsters were donning Purdue gear.

At around 3 p.m. local time (4 p.m. in West Lafayette), the 6-foot-8, 200-pound Hummel walked to the podium and wasn't wearing anything that gave away his college choice.

After taking a few minutes to thank his coaches over the years, Hummel finally made it official and picked Purdue.
