Hummel meets IU staff, eyes mid-July decision

Valparaiso junior forward Robbie Hummel is already well-aware of all that Indiana University has to offer. When former Coach Mike Davis was still roaming the sidelines at Assembly Hall, Hummel was being heavily recruited by the Hoosiers and got a chance to check out Bloomington numerous times. He has met the current players, toured campus, and even watched the Hoosiers play then No. 1 Duke on their home court, but the one thing he hadn't done was meet the new Indiana coaching staff. This past weekend Hummel took care of that by traveling to Bloomington for a long meet-and-greet with the IU basketball coaching staff.

With over ten programs currently recruiting Hummel with guaranteed scholarship offers, it's important for Hummel to get to know each program as best he can.

Right now Hummel has well over a dozen offers as schools are doggedly recruiting the player that Rivals.com ranks as the 72nd-best player in the 2007 class.

Arizona State, Indiana, Iowa, Northwestern, Purdue, Valparaiso and Vanderbilt are among those who have offered.
