Saginaw (Mich.) Arthur Hill point guard Eric Davis received a scholarship offer from Michigan State on Tuesday according to his high school coach Greg McMath.

"Getting an offer from Michigan State is a huge deal," said McMath. "He is happy to have the offer from Coach (Tom) Izzo, who has built such a successful program."


Michigan State is the first Big Ten offer for Davis.

"They like his demeanor and his approach to the game," said McMath. "He is calm under pressure and he doesn't get rattled or thrown off. He is mature for his age."
