Manning wraps up TCU visit, nearing decision
A day after helping his team to a playoff victory over rivals South Oak Cliff, Dallas Kimball four=star defensive tackle Justin Manning made the short trip over to Tarrant County to check out two of the Big 12's premier teams, one of which he has in his final three.
The U.S. Army All-American got a chance to check out TCU take on No. 1 Kansas State and while he had visited the Fort Worth campus several times before, he got a chance to check out what the Frogs had on the field against one of the top teams in the country.
"It was smooth," said Manning, who recovered a fumble and returned it 50 yards for a touchdown in Kimball's come-from-behind victory Friday.
"This visit wasn't too much about taking care of business, it was about talking to people and taking it in. TCU has a strong defense. Their offense is just a little slow."
