V.J. Beachem might have struggled his last time out but that performance belies what has been a strong sophomore season. The 6-foot-7 shooting guard from Ft. Wayne, Ind., has seen his recruitment pick up in recent weeks with powerhouse regional programs checking in. Just last week an Irish assistant attended practice. Beachem has taken note of the steady Notre Dame interest.
