Surviving the storm
Mississippi State wrapped up Tuesday's practice just in the nick of time.
Strong winds blew in thunderstorms across campus just as the Bulldogs were exiting the practice fields as they continue their preparations for Florida.
MSU worked mostly on first and second down situations on offense and also had some new personnel groupings with the injuries this past week to seniors Leon Berry and J.C. Brignone.
Brignone was at practice in a knee brace but will be held out at least until Thursday. Replacing him at center are junior Quentin Saulsberry and redshirt freshman Sam Watts.
With Berry's injury keeping him out the remainder of the regular season it leaves the Bulldogs receiving corps with no one older than a sophomore.
"We rotate a lot anyways so the guys have played a lot," Mullen said. "They are just going to have to play a little more than what they have in the past couple of weeks."
State's receivers will be going head-to-head with the Gator's strong secondary. Florida is leading the entire country with 13 interceptions already this season.
