Gesell drawing plenty of interest
Basketball never seems to stop for Mike Gesell. The Rivals Top 100 prospect for 2012 did have to take a little break recently after spraining his ankle at the Kansas team camp, but he is back on the court for the very important July evaluation period for college coaches.
"I went to a couple of elite camps in June," Gesell said. "We went to the camps at Kansas and Iowa State and then I went to the Kansas team camp where I actually sprained my ankle. Because of that I didn't get to play at the Nebraska team camp the following week."
The 6-foot combo guard from South Sioux City High School in Nebraska also had his phone start ringing on a regular basis on June 15th when college coaches could officially offer scholarships. In the process, he picked up one new offer.
