Minnesota guard has A&M's interest piqued
Texas A&M fans have been hearing a new name in 2011 basketball recruiting and that name is Joe Coleman. The 6-foot-3 guard from Minneapolis (Minn.) Hopkins has been playing with Howard Pulley this summer, including in Houston this past week in the Nike EYBL, and schools have been taking notice.
During Saturday's action in Houston, Coleman said, "The summer's been going good so far." That is a pretty big understatement as he has been lighting up the scoreboard and seeing his stock rise. Rivals national writer Eric Bossi said last week following the Sabes Invitational that Coleman could be challenging for a spot in the new Rivals 150, possibly even at four-star status.
Coleman has picked up several offers so far and appears to be on the verge of a more in the near future. He already knows what he is looking for in a program.
