Beavers set the bar high for Lucas
The state of Oregon has produced some of the nation's premier basketball athletes over the years. From Kyle Singler to Terrence Jones the level of talent is high and the Oregon State coaches are getting a head start on a couple of sophomores who look to be top prospects from the class of 2012.
The Beavers welcomed Beaverton (Ore.) Sunset High standout forward Landen Lucas and Tualatin (Ore.) Horizon Christian guard Jordan Tebbutt on an unofficial visit during the Stanford game weekend and at least one of them walked away very impressed.
BeaverBlitz caught up with Lucas and his mom Shelley recently to get there thoughts on Oregon State and with the recruiting process in general. While he is not close to narrowing down any schools this early in the process, Lucas has been getting a good feeling about the local program in Corvallis.
